Artwork Review
Request curator feedback on pieces that may be related to Spanish Colonial art or artists.
We’re pleased to offer artwork reviews as a way to connect with individuals who own pieces that may relate to the Spanish Colonial period in New Mexico or Northern Colorado, or to artists represented in the Spanish Colonial Arts Society collection.
This offering grew out of the many thoughtful inquiries we receive from community members who are curious about the history of pieces in their care. Our curator enjoys reviewing these items and sharing insight, and by providing a dedicated process for submissions, we can respond with care and consistency.
This opportunity is intended for individuals who own such pieces—whether inherited, acquired, or found—and would like more historical or contextual information. While the museum’s collection includes both traditional and contemporary work, this review is focused on objects that reflect or connect to the Spanish Colonial tradition or artists represented in the collection.
Please note: the museum does not offer appraisals or authentication services. Reviews are strictly for informational purposes.
